About Lan-Share
Lan-Share is a local-network first file transfer tool for quickly moving files between a phone and a computer, or between two browsers, without installing a dedicated app.
The product focuses on a simple flow: open Lan-Share on the sending device, generate an 8-digit code, enter that code on the receiving device, review the offered file, and download when ready. The transfer is designed to be temporary, intentional, and easy to explain to non-technical users.
Lan-Share is built around practical browser technology: HTTPS, WebRTC, WebSocket signaling, short-lived pairing rooms, and a small admin console for managing public pages and site settings. The service is not meant to replace cloud storage or long-term sharing links.
